Which Type of Sports Bra Should You Wear For Your Breast Type?

We've chatted about the seven different breast types and the best bra for yours, but what about when it comes time to get active? Your exercise of choice and the size of your ladies can make a big difference in which style of sports bra you pick, but there's also value in shopping with the shape of your breasts in mind. For expert advice to make sure you're being best supported the next time you hit the gym, we connected with the team at C9 Champion. With a revamped range of all sorts of sports bras, you could say they know a thing or two about smart support.

Which Type of Sports Bra Should You Wear For Your Breast Type?

If your breasts sit on the outside of your chest... Look for a style with molded cups ($23) that will provide shape and position in the same way an everyday bra would. Unlike thin styles that will allow your girls to gravitate toward their normal position, the construction in place keeps them where it's most comfortable.

If your breasts are bell-shaped... A full-coverage style ($23) will give you some added fabric at the top part of the breast where yours are more slender. It'll help even things out and distribute weight too—a good move if you're planning to log a high-impact sweat sesh.

If your breasts are round and full... Racerback straps can help keep everything exactly in place. If your set is a C cup or higher, the team loved this style ($17) due to a double layer of compression fabric.

If your breasts are long and slender... Molded cups run the risk of leaving you with uncomfortable space between bra and breast. Instead, look for a soft fit ($20) that will center and lift without totally changing up your natural shape.

If your breasts are asymmetrical... A style with removable cups ($20) is perfect for you. Play around with the padding, customizing placement and amount until you feel equally supported on both sides (don't be afraid of taking scissors to an insert).

If your breasts are teardrop-shaped... As the most common shape, you're easy to fit. Take advantage of the new styles of sports bras (leaps apart from the standard mono-style of the past) and try one with adjustable straps ($17) that can be customized for comfort depending on your height.

Have big boobs? These women can commiserate—hear gripes on food getting suck in cleavage and random items falling into your bra.

How to Wear Leggings at Work, According to a Woman Who’s Dressed Kate Middleton in Workout Clothes

On the behalf of the Duchess of Cambridge, we've got to say thank goodness for athleisure. Without stylish pieces meant to work out, how else could Kate Middleton ever attend sporting events where she's required to get active without losing a modicum of royal dignity? For a tennis event in Scotland this winter the brand she relied on was Monreal, a London-based company created by tennis player Stefanï Grosse.

"She's such a style icon that it was extremely flattering to see her sporting our tuxedo track pants. We were caught by surprise and didn't know she was going to wear them," Grosse told us, having found out later that Kate bought the pair herself from a London shop. Pay attention to the shape too: they're looser than leggings (could a new trend be bubbling up?) "I wouldn't be surprised if her choice of leg shape has an impact on the next athleisure silhouette. The slim-fit track pant is perfectly suitable for any type of workout and less revealing than classic leggings, making it a more polished and sophisticated look for wearing outside the gym."

While we're eager to see how the Duchess-approved pants affect what others reach for, classic leggings are unlikely to flag in popularity any time soon. According to Grosse, the key to making yours work outside the gym is to carefully consider both shoe and color.

"Chic sandals will make stylish leggings perfect for any occasion—they can even be worn well with heels," she said before suggesting you leave printed tights to the workout arena. "Darker, muted colors are generally the easiest to wear in non-sports related environments." To really rock the leggings IRL game, it might be worth it to consider shopping separate pairs for your cardio and your off-time. Grosse mentions a pair of biker leggings with zipper details that "can be worn just like skinny jeans. Combined with a beautiful long cashmere sweater or cardigan and smart sandals or boots, leggings are definitely office worthy."

As much as we love 'em, there's more to athleisure than just leggings. If you've already figured out how to wear yours 24/7, consider adding in a new shape and follow Victoria Beckham's lead.

"She was one of the very first customers to purchase our signature tennis dress at Harrods. It's the perfect athleisure style, and I don't believe she's a tennis player," she commented. "A lot of women wear it as a white summer dress. Some of our tennis skirts have been spotted around town combined with designer tops or knitwear."

Investing in pricey workout togs can feel a little bit jarring, but finding a great fit and superior fabrication (and an overall product that won't disintegrate after too many dances with the dryer) can be worth it. Take heart too that the athleisure trend isn't going anywhere. Grosse started Monreal in May 2012 to fill a void she'd noticed and has seen that there's major staying power.

"I simply wasn't able to find high-performance workout gear that would also be stylish enough to zip around in when the match was over," she explained regarding her push to start designing. "Athleisure has taken off rapidly since, and this trend is here for the long run. Activewear is no longer just about practicality and need—it's about desire."

Zara neon windbreaker, $36, zara.com, leggings, $26, zara.com

Most trend-driven, budget-conscious women are already waving the Zara flag enthusiastically, but guys—it's getting even better. With the addition of a range of workout clothes it's now entirely possible to wear the high-street brand for 100% of your life. The "gymwear" section, the offerings include leggings, tanks, shorts, sports bras, and beyond, with a few simply cut swimsuits and bodysuits thrown in alongside other gym kit staples like sneakers and socks. Both style and price are in line with what you've come to expect from the Spanish import: Items are sleekly cut, done in neutral hues, and wallet-friendly, with most tops and leggings between $20 and $30; sweatshirts are around $40.

Expect more options to hit the site throughout spring too. While we love everything that's up to shop now, some of the pieces seen in the lookbook imagery is missing. Those pieces, including the sheer-insert leggings and hoodie seen in the snap below, are likely part of future deliveries.

The category addition came on the heels of another piece of retail news for the brand. Earlier this month it launched its Ungendered collection, featuring basic tees, tanks, and sweats meant to be worn and bought by both men and women.

The New Leggings Kylie Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, and Gigi Hadid Are About to Be Obsessed With

If you're been paying close attention to the style choices of Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, and Gigi Hadid, you might have noticed a still under-the-radar name popping up again and again: House of CB. The British brand has been behind a lot of the girls' sexy, body-con pieces, and we're predicting that you're about to see it blow up on your Instagram feed even more thanks to a new, tightly edited collection of workout-ready leggings and tops.

The brand's DNA is all about curve-hugging dresses and Kardashian-favored separates like crop tops and bodysuits, and you can expect more of the same when it comes to the fitness offerings. To wit, they're the ones behind Gigi's majorly steamy cutout bodysuit, worn with one of last year's biggest styling surprises (a top she turned into a skirt). At Justin Bieber's AMA after-party the brand was spotted on both Gigi and Kylie.

It should come as no surprise that the sister who's been the most visible fan of the workout togs so far has been gym devotee Khloe Kardashian, spotted out recently in a pink and purple pair of the brand's leggings. And while we love the colorful kick it adds to her exercise regime (imagine how good they must look hanging in her fitness closet), we're also crazy about the price tag. Compared with the $100+ leggings that have flooded the athleisure market, these feel downright affordable at $56. Longline crop tops are $42.

We know Kendall Jenner's a fan of simple black leggings (and which exact pair), so we can't wait to see if she pulls on one of these brighter styles.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Is Launching Workout Clothes Through Autograph at M&S

Make room in your workout drawer—Rosie Huntington-Whiteley would like a space, please and thank you. The British bombshell has expanded her lingerie collection with UK brand Autograph to include a full range of fitness apparel—Rosie for Autograph Active—hitting Marks & Spencer shelves this January.

"Fitness and wellbeing is such a huge part of my life, it feels like a really natural step for my existing lingerie range to develop and now include activewear pieces," Huntington-Whiteley told The Daily Mail (you can buy Rosie-approved PJs alongside bras and undies). The collection is dance-inspired with an obvious nod to ballerina style; wraps, leotards, and soft fabrics make up a good chunk of it, all done in a soft palette or gray and blush.

The unstoppable rise of athleisure has meant we're collectively interested in shopping for cute workout togs that you want to wear beyond the gym, and it's easy enough to turn to the former Victoria's Secret Angel for it. Like most of the girls who strut the runway, she seems to be a devoted fitness fan and is always snapped looking chic post workout. Have you stopped drooling over that gorgeous deep green Saint Laurent bag she's toting as her gym bag?

And while we're totally down with the idea of feeling a bit more like a bombshell while getting our sweat on, don't think that's all Huntington-Whiteley cares about. Her answer when we asked about making boyfriend jeans more guy-friendly was perhaps the most genius interview answer we got all of 2015.

Models are doing it all this day, including raking in the cash for Instagram posts. Come see what top posers like Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid are earning, but beware: Your mouth might actually drop open.
