Drumroll, please...Pantone has officially announced the colors of the year of 2016 and we've been granted not one—but two!—shades to stock our wardrobes with for the coming seasons. Named Serenity and Rose Quartz, the hues are pale shades of blue and pink, respectively.
Pastels were hard-hitters on the fall runways—from the likes of Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, and Max Mara, to name a few. Though often reminiscent of warmer weather, the fall and winter season is full of oversized coats, cozy sweaters, and midi skirts in the soft shades.
This winter, we can't wait to wear these awesome pastels like the two fashionistas above. Mix up your cold-weather wardrobe by styling all your favorite looks with a cozy coat in a pastel hue. For a subtle pop of color, mix a pastel pink skirt into an otherwise all-black look. For a night out, reach for a full, party silhouette, while a workday may call for a slim pencil skirt or pleated midi.
